Tibetan medicine believes that drinking more butter tea in the plateau environment can strengthen one’s physique, nourish the intestines and stomach, and energize the body. The aromatic substances in the tea can dissolve fat and help digestion.

Peppermint contains menthol and methyl salicylate. This incredible herb coats the lining of the digestive tract creating an analgesic effect which can relieve discomfort caused by spasms and burning within the stomach and intestines.

Chicory is a root vegetable that is the most common source of inulin – a natural prebiotic. It is a natural source of fructooligosaccharides. When provided in tandem with natural beneficial bacteria it has the ability to nourish and strengthen good bacteria.

Ginger warms the digestive tract, thus improving digestion. Improved digestive function results in improved nutrient uptake and decreased risk of nutritional deficiencies.

Aloe leaf has antimicrobial effects which can inhibit the growth of microbial cells. Aloe has 17 fatty acids of which linoleic and linolenic are most prominent. These assist with heart health and lowering cholesterol.
